Crab Island Seasonings is a true chef's blend, meaning you can use it on anything you cook. With a combination of dozens of spices, including garlic, onion, paprik and more, it is designed to bring out the best flavor in any dish. Whether it is fresh from the Gulf seafood, a pot roast, a casserole or a vegetarian meal. What it doesn't have is a lot of is salt. Unlike a lot of the commercial seasoning blends out there. Grilled Crab Island Shrimp

Mix all ingredients except shrimp together in a glass bowl. Add shrimp and toss until completely coated. Chill overnight or at least for a few hours.Heat a sauté pan with a thin layer of garlic olive oil. Place shrimp in pan, starting from outside working into the middle. Cook for 5 minutes or until they start to turn slightly pink. Turn the shrimp over, cook 2 more minutes. Shut off heat and let stand for 2 more minutes. Eat right away with rice, in a tortilla or on a salad. Serves 2 or more.

Chicken and Sausage Gumbo

Making a Roux: Add 1 cup of the oil and 1.25 cup of the flour to the pot. Stir constantly over medium heat until the roux takes on a light brown / caramel color. Be careful not to burn it. Add the onions, bell peppers, celery and garlic. This will stop the roux from cooking. Continue stirring for about 5 minutes.Add the stock in slowly, all the rest of the seasonings, the chicken and sausage. Bring to a boil and then cook over medium - low heat for 1 ½ hours, stirring occasionally. Add salt and pepper to taste.Remove bay leaf before serving.Garnish with green onion and parsley and serve.

Mediterranean Feta Salad

Combine tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, and 1 T. of olive oil and Crab Island Seasoning in mixing bowl. Mix well and chill for 1 hour. Remove, drain off water. Add 2nd tablespoon of oil, mix again. Arrange plates, each with a piece of crisp romaine lettuce. Top each plate with an ice-cream scoop size of the tomato, cucumber, cheese mixture. Serve, with pita chips or bread if desired. Add additional dressing if desired. Feeds 4-6 people.
